Woodson Merrell, M.D.

Dr. Woodson Merrell, named by New York magazine a "Leader for the New Millennium," is chairman of the Department of Integrative Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, Manhattan campus of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Since 1985 he has maintained a high-profile private practice in integrative medicine and acupuncture on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Dr. Merrell has chaired and been scientific director for numerous medical and consumer health care conferences, and is featured regularly in the national media for his expertise in integrative medicine.

Dr. Merrell’s writing partner and spouse—is an award-winning freelance journalist specializing in holistic and preventive health whose articles have appeared in numerous national publications including O, The Oprah Magazine, Forbes, Real Simple, and Allure. The Merrells live in New York City with their two school-age daughters, Caitlin and Isabel.

Stefanie Bryn Sacks M.S.

Stefanie Bryn Sacks M.S., culinary nutritionist and menu and recipe developer for The Source, is a professional chef with a Masters of Science in nutrition from Columbia University. She practices in the metro-New York area, counseling patients in the art, science, and simplicity of eating for well-being. Stefanie has been featured in articles in consumer magazines and on television. She lives on eastern Long Isaland with her husband, Rich, and son, Jack.
